372 Winners To Date
So time to visit!

Perth
We may have a number of runners at Perth on Wednesday and Thursday this week, however it will be very much ground dependent.
Sambulando
Sambulando won at Uttoxeter yesterday.  He jumped well, although he idled a bit in front at the end.  He'll now have a break until the autumn.
We're being plagued by horse flies like never before. They're nearly the size of a ten pence piece and are attacking us riding out as well as the horses!
Zanir & Majaales
Zanir and Majaales return to training next week, having missed last season through injury. They both look exceptionally well and we're very much looking forward to having them back in training.
Regal Heights
Regal Heights who is a smart middle-distance chaser has joined us to be trained for the winter season.  He's having a couple of weeks at grass with us before returning to training. He's an exciting prospect and we are delighted to have him here.
Nacarat and Tartak
Nacarat and Tartak are both summering well and are due to return to training mid-July.
Other mix and Island Flyer

Both Othermix and Island flyer have been turned out for the summer grass. A break should do them both good.

Je Ne Sais Plus

Je Ne Sais Plus is making good progress after she sustained a deep gash below her knee on her last run. She is taking it easy and will have a six week break before returning to training.

Uttoxeter

Three runners went to war at Uttoxeter last night with good chances of coming back with some prize money. Candle who finished third produced a most improved display of jumping although next time she will be suited by racing closer to the pace.

Saucy Bingo who was hampered badly when a horse fell infront of him half way through the race settled nicely and jumped well enough until unseating Sam. He showed more than enough to do himself justice over fences on softer ground next time out.

Honours Dream was up against it on ground that was not quite soft enough and therefore finding the fences coming too quickly. Sam looked after him and he should therefore be out again soon when the ground is even softer. He was pulled up.

All three have come out of there races fine.

Sam Thomas
We are pleased to announce that Sam Thomas has become our stable jockey.  He will be a great asset to our team and his experience with top class horses will be invaluable.  We all very much hope to give him plenty of good winners for the forthcoming season.
Invisible Man Arrived
Invisible man, the most recent purchase of PP Electrical Systems Limited, arrived last night from France.  He has run four times over hurdles with his most recent being at Auteuil last month.  He's a very exciting prospect for the forthcoming season over fences.
Je Ne Sais Plus
Je Ne Sais Plus ran a really good race for second place at Uttoxeter, but unfortunately sustained a nasty cut on her knee during the race. She is, however, making good progress and we expect to have her home from the vet's on Friday.
Schooling

Sam Thomas came in this morning to ride.  We schooled eight horses including the three year olds Olofi, Beat The Devil and Blanford Fox. David Fox came in to watch some of them.

Runners today
Unfortunately Sambulando has a bruised foot, and so won't run at Cartmel today. Our sole representative today is Dan Maguire at Southwell.
GOOD WEEKEND

We were thrilled to have three winners over the bank holiday weekend.  The first two, Babe Heffron and Sambulando, being at Cartmel where Tom had not had a winner before and I'm not sure whether he has ever had a runner?  If so it was a long time ago.  The ground up there was on the soft side of good and Honours Dream was second which made the journey worthwhile.

Shake The Barley won his third race this year at Fontwell on Sunday.  He is proving a versatile horse having won on heavy ground at Lingfield and now faster ground on Sunday.  Je Ne Sais Plus and Othermix ran very well at Uttoxeter and we were delighted with them both, despite not winning!

Slad Valley Racing, who own Shake The Barley, are currently looking for new members and please contact us via the website if you are interested.

Je Ne Sais Plus
Je Ne Sais Plus ran out an easy winner in the first race at Exeter on Wednesday. Although visibility was poor Paddy explained that she settled and travelled easily before quickening away on ground that seems to be right up her street. Hopefully she can now progress and fulfill her origional promise.

Gloucestershire Based Professional Racehorse Trainer

Tom George started training racehorses at Down Farm in 1993. An idyllic 400 acre Cotswold sheep farm has been transformed into a state of the art National Hunt Racehorse Training Establishment. Down Farm, Slad in Gloucestershire, has sent out well over 300 racecourse victories, including Cheltenham Festival and many other notable Grade race winners.

The Way Forward

Tom George Racing offers all forms of ownership. We train for individuals as well as for clubs, some of which have up to 300 members. Syndicates are also becoming a very popular form of ownership. Silkword Racing Partnership has had horses with us for 12 years and enjoyed excitements with Tremallt, who cost as little as £4,000 and went on to win £100,000 in prize money. The highlight for them with him was finishing 9th in the Grand National. Superior Risk cost them £500 and went on to win 4 races and over £13,000 in winner prize money. We can offer all the thrills and excitement of ownership, no matter how big or small you wish your investment to be.

Quality Racehorse Training

Down Farm has the facilities to obtain the best possible results from each individual horse. 3 all weather gallops, grass canters, unlimited hacking, the advantage of having the space to turn the horses out in the paddocks for relaxation and the benefits of the horses drinking spring water all leads to our successes.
