334 Winners To Date
So time to visit!

Kilcrea Asla

Kilcrea Asla came home a good winner last night at Newton Abbot in the Handicap Chase. Congratulations to Laura Day on her first winner. Sadly in the same race Lose The Attitude pulled up suffering from a fatal heart attack; our commiserations go to the Thoroughbred Ladies.

2 year olds

Our three 2 year olds by Slickly, Nayef and Trans Island have returned to work. They have done exceptionally well over their break and look to be very exciting prospects for the future.

3 year olds
This years batch of 3 year olds (10 of them) are walking and trotting and will start to canter later on this week. Paddy Brennan came in to ride out on Saturday and rode Cesium, who is half brother to Cerium and closely related to Tamarin Bleu.
Lord Ryeford
Lord Ryeford won the second part of his target, over hurdles, at Worcester last week. He will now have a short break and will be prepared for the Mildmay Memorial Handicap Chase (0-150) over 2 miles 5 furlongs at Newton Abbot on Saturday August 30th.

Tom George Racing - National Hunt Racehorse Trainer

Gloucestershire Based Professional Racehorse Trainer

Tom George started training racehorses at Down Farm in 1993. An idyllic 400 acre Cotswold sheep farm has been transformed into a state of the art National Hunt Racehorse Training Establishment. Down Farm, Slad in Gloucestershire, has sent out well over 300 racecourse victories, including Cheltenham Festival and many other notable Grade race winners.

The Way Forward

Tom George Racing offers all forms of ownership. We train for individuals as well as for clubs, some of which have up to 300 members. Syndicates are also becoming a very popular form of ownership. Silkword Racing Partnership has had horses with us for 12 years and enjoyed excitements with Tremallt, who cost as little as £4,000 and went on to win £100,000 in prize money. The highlight for them with him was finishing 9th in the Grand National. Superior Risk cost them £500 and went on to win 4 races and over £13,000 in winner prize money. We can offer all the thrills and excitement of ownership, no matter how big or small you wish your investment to be.

Quality Racehorse Training

Down Farm has the facilities to obtain the best possible results from each individual horse. 3 all weather gallops, grass canters, unlimited hacking, the advantage of having the space to turn the horses out in the paddocks for relaxation and the benefits of the horses drinking spring water all leads to our successes.
